                                    1994  New Year Special Telecast of Live In I.T.N Supervised all aspects of a logistically complex four-camera reality show pilot. Scouted locations, planned shoot, then directed the activities of a cast of seven and crew of thirty, through a grueling 8-hour continuous shoot on eight locations. Called shots, made swift logistical decisions, conducted interviews, and organized company moves

DIRECTOR/ CREATOR

Created the pilot which sold 'Rata thota' to Telshan Television T.N.L , starting with 100 hours of raw footage and a brief outline. Conducted supplementary interviews. Performed extensive offline edit list management. Scene Line ups. Build ups to characters .25-minute  serial comedy drama.

NEWS DIRECTOR 

Responsible for all aspects of news programming on Air, including reporting, writing, and anchoring three daily news blocks plus four hourly headlines. Supervised 3 staff persons and one intern. Independent Television Network 1996 to 1997

SENIOR WRITER/PRODUCER/DIRECTOR and CREATIVE DIRECTOR of AWARD WINNING PROGRAM

Created long-form Investigative Television documentary programs on a variety of aviation and automotive subject matter. Responsibilities included authoring  story treatments, budgeting and estimating, script research and writing, film research, conducting on-camera interviews, directing field shoots and narration sessions, supervising and editing  offline and online , and music/effects spotting. Production 'WIMASUMA ' earned  I.T.N "s first NATIONAL AWARD  nomination (for Best Documentary Special). From August, 1995, And 1996 both years.

WRITER / PRODUCER/DIRECTOR

Wrote, produced and researched long-form documentaries on a wide variety of historical, scientific, social, military and other topics. Developed story ideas, authored proposals and treatments, and pitched ideas to  buyers.

DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION

Responsibilities also included writing, directing and producing shows in production , as well as developing programming ideas, authoring proposals and treatments, and pitching concepts Was associated with the production of the serialized single episode TeleDrama "Kopi Kade"(coffee shop). To date, it has televised 800 episodes. This serialized Telegram has established records in South Asia. Directed more than 275 episodes of this series. This has continued to remain the most popular TeleDrama series in Sri Lanka. Some of the characters created for this series are still popular among viewers.
